This is long overdue…but I really wanted to show you guys some of the images from this event. Sleepless in San Diego is put on by the San Diego Rescue Mission as a fundraiser. [They are completely funded by private donations] It was a smashing success…and I think everyone left with a better understanding of homelessness. [and they raised $$$! ]
The event was held at the Liberty Station in Point Loma. It used to be the old Naval Training Center….there is a lot of history here!

One of the new things that they added this year was the cardboard stack. People could come and grab as much as they wanted to build their shelters for the evening. creative huh?
They had shoes for all the people who had passed in the last couple of years that were homeless.
