So I’ve been a pretty avid reader of Sports Shooter as of late. What is Sports Shooter? Its like a community of shooters the primarily shoot…well..sports =). Alot of the technical mumbo-jumbo is kinda way over my head. Like when is a landscape/wedding photographer gonna need to know how to ai-servo continuous focus track a speedy nfl punt returner. What I do read it for is the insights that they present when shooting.
One such article, Grey Matters deals with basically the conflict between older generation photographers and upstart rambunctious punks like myself. These days one can learn so much from the internet. And its so easy to just pick up a camera and call your self a professional photographers. [Stick it in P mode =P ]. But the fact of the matter is that some things can only be taught from experience. And I’ve found that the more you’re open to learn, the more you come into your own. Old people just….know things![]()
